James 1:5-8

If you need wisdom - if you want to know what God wants you to do - ask him, and He will gladly tell you. He will not resent ur asking. But when you ask Him, be sure that you really expect Him to answer, for a doubtful mind is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. People like that should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. They can't make up their minds. They waver back and forth in everything they do.

This passage was something i didn't realize about myself until last saturday. After i got into the university, i spent less time with God and it grew lesser and lesser, slowly and gradually over time. And the last week showed me how much less i talked to Him. I started doubting His promises to lead and guide me. All i had to do was believe. But i started doubting Him and i grew more and more unsettled and unsure of his plans for me.

He tried to show me this so many times and i was so unresponsive to his voice. Twice through David and a couple of times in books that i read. I prayed to Him and entrusted myself to Him on saturday without knowing that he had lead me to do so. Then on sunday,i read a book on listening to God's voice. I suddenly realized that he had been prodding me silently for so long and i hadn't heard him.

This morning, i went to Trinity Baptist Church for service. I sat through two services to find out what the differnces were. But they were pretty much the same. But no complaints about that, the worship was pretty good, but the guitarists and drummer looked like hippies...ahahah...i shouldn't say that...The sermon was on generosity...the pastor was a good speaker. Talked about this guy who gave his family car to a car-less family who needed it more than he did... really nice.

I went to the bookshop and read books like the one on hearing God's voice. Played with a disabled woman's dog and then went back...and slept from 6 to 3 am? I sleep too much...must eat more...lol.ahaha

Father God, I'm sorry for doubting Your will and promises that You have made. Continue to guide me and strengthen my faith in You.
